Lesson 29 Half guard pass

The half guard, a position in which one leg is trapped with the opponent, gives the opponent a chance to counterattack if you do not maintain a stable base, even on the top position. In this position, you must first hold your opponent's upper body to stabilize your base. Next, you must remove the trapped leg and move to side control or mount position. In this lesson you will learn several stable half guard forms and how to pass the guard.
